AR Analysis

Rather than looking at a report of outstanding payments and seeing only individual claims, it is important to try to identify patterns in the balances that might point to more systemic issues. Over time, I have been able to use this skill, in addition to persistent follow up and outreach to payers, to recoup funds owed as well as prevent or minimize future losses. Some of the patterns or systemic adjustments I've identified have included:

MCO rate inconsistencies
Contracting errors
Outstanding client liability balances
Faulty denial management procedures
Retroactive payments or increases not applied
